Confucius taught five basic virtues: kindness, righteousness, emotional control, wisdom, trustworthiness.
Confucius taught that your well-being depends directly on the well-being of others which he calls Jen.
Another major thing that Confucius believed in was that you need to be respectful of your elders.
In the year 479 B.C. Confucius died believing that he had died and failed in his mission to have all people treated equal.
Confucius never wrote down his teachings or sayings but after he died his followers wrote them down.
