  • During this stage of Montag's life he feels content with his life. He doesn't really find anything wrong with anything he's doing. He goes by day by day with his fireman job and does a good job. Character traits during this period are hardworking, ignorant, and content.
  • Help me understand!
  • This period of Montag's life he meets Clarisse, she makes him think a lot more than he usually does and feels that she is different in a good way. He begins to think she is smart and probably reads. She one day asks him if he's in love and does the flower test and it shows he isnt he then starts to debate if he is or not. Character traits- curious, confused, distraught
  • This stage of Montag's life he kills a woman when he burned her house and she wouldn't leave her books. He begins to think what he is doing is wrong and thinks hes sick and takes a day or two off but soon realizes he doesn't want to be a fireman anymore. Character Traits- "sick", different, confused
  • During this stage of Montag's life he's convinced he doesn't want to be a fireman anymore and want to read books. He finds a old man named Faber who reads and asks him to help him understand what he is reading. Faber agrees but they also plan to plant books on other firemen so no one will suspect Montag. Character Traits- courageous, curious, and daring
  • This level of Montag's life is when after Mildred called in saying he had been reading Captain Beatty made him burn down his own house. When he finshed burning his home he turned the flamethrower to Beatty and burned him to death and now he is dead. Character Traits- Killer, Frustrated, Lost 
  • After Montag killed Beatty the police had a sent out a city wide alert saying they were looking for him and he had killed Captain Beatty and two other firemen. He has nowhere else to go so he runs to Faber's house and goes to him for guidance. Faber tells him to get out the city as fast as he can if he wants to live. When he leaves he meets another old man and his group of people who read and know all of the stories he finally feels as he belongs. Character Traits-rebellious, belonging, cared about.
