  • I have my earbuds in and away from my team mates on the bus. I concentrate as much as possible and think of ways of how I can win. I arrive and wait.
  • Falling Action
  • Sitting waiting for my name to be called. "Longmont's 1 singles" I'm just so nervous. The feeling about being outclassed is terrifying. If I win I could go to state. I am called I start warming up with my opponent. He's good. Really good.
  • Resolution
  • I'll be back next year
  • While playing I figure out that he is much better. I start off to a slow start and cost me to the very end. High school tennis is over for me.
  • It is a tough feeling you have after you know you have lost. You have the feeling that you failed yourself and everyone in connection with you, but I kept fighting till my last breath.
  • Walking off the court after a brutal loss. I hang my head up expecting a little fire from my coach. Instead I look forward to the future and get to state next year.
