The monster reads the book "Paradise lost", and analyzes it it as history. He is really moved by this book and says, " I now continually studied and exercised my mind upon these histories...". He then goes back to the cottage to try and get the approval from De Lacey.
"enter" said De Lacey.
The monster enters the cottage and tries to get approval from De Lacey. He does this because he's blind, and can't judge him based off his looks.
As the monster is talking to De Lacey, Felix, Safie, and Agatha enter the cottage unexpectedly and Felix hits the monster with a sick and kick him out immediately. The monster says " I could've torn him limb for limb... but I refrained." The monster then runs and heads back to Geneva, wanting revenge on humans.
The monster is extremely upset with what just happened, but he isn't giving up yet. He heads back to Geneva and wants revenge on the humans for the constant mistreatment. However, he really has it out for victor. "... my feelings were of rage and revenge....".
Victor then makes it to Geneva, and this is where he makes his mistake. He runs into Victors brother, and kills him. This will lead to a lot of confusion, and the false sentencing of a member of the Frankenstein household, Justine.
