  • Welcome to the Inside of the Earth Tour
  • This is the Outer Core.  It is the liquid layer surrounding the Inner core.  It is 2200km thick.
  • Lets bring in the drill
  • This is the last layer of Earth, The Inner Core.  It is solid and the most dense layer.  It is 1230km thick.  Both the Inner and outer core are mad of mostly iron with small amounts of nickel.
  • Lets  begin our journey
  • Lets bring in the drill
  • That concludes our tour.  Now back to the surface.
  • Our last and densest layer of the Mantle is the Mesosphere.  It is the thickest layer of Earth.  This layer is 2550km thick.
  • This is the Lithoosphere, the layer contains the crust.  It is approximately 15-300km thick.  It is the least dense layer of Earth.  This is the solid, outermost layer of our planet.
  • This is the Asthenoshpere.  This layer is part of the mantle.  It is a plastic layer that the Lithosphere moves on.  It is 250km thick.
  • Our last and densest layer of the Mantle is the Mesosphere.  It is the thickest layer of Earth.  This layer is 2550km thick.
