Soon came Wiglaf who saw his king Beowulf suffering and burning. Wiglaf remembered the loyalty he swore to Beowulf & came to his rescue. Wiglaf drew his sword & remembered the days when the beats talked about laying their life on the line for Beowulf. Together they defeat the dragon but Beowulf is seriously injured.
Beowulf sent wiglaf to get the dragons jewels. Wiglaf quickly returned before death came for his wounded king. He sprinkled water over Beowulf so he could say his final commands before he died.
Take what I leave Wiglaf, lead my people Help them my time is gone.
Wiglaf returned home and berated the cowardly beats for their disloyalty towards Beowulf. In return they placed his ashes along with the treasure on a huge burial mound by the sea where it can be seen by people for years to come.
