  • Tuskegee Airman
  • Pearl Harbor happened on December 7 1941. Here is a soldier in the midst of the bombing fearing for his life. 2,403 died in that bombing.
  • Japanese Internment Camps
  • Many soldiers were recruited to fight in the war. They had to leave their families behind and they were lucky if they came back alive.
  • Women In The War
  • The Tuskegee Airmen were a group of African American fighter pilots that flew air planes in the world war.  They were rewarded with great honor.
  • Baby Boomers
  • The Japanese internment camps were located on the western side of the United States. Over 100,000 people were crammed into the small camps.
  • Women in the war made bombs and weapons to make money for their families. They had to do very tedious jobs that required a lot of focus. 
  • If the soldiers did return from war many of them got married and had children. There was also a boost in the economy. This was known as "The Baby Boom".
