  • The Quartering Act of 1765 required the colonist to house British soldiers in their homes. Also feed them and take good care of them.

  • In 1764 Parliament passed the Sugar Act, In hopes to raise military funds. The Sugar Act lowered the duty on foreign-produced molasses from six pence per gallon to 3 pence per gallon, in attempts to discourage smuggling. In conclusion the Act taxed Molasses.

  • Me, Charles Townshend, propose that we should put more taxes on the imports of things such as paper, paint,  glass and much more, to show that we as the Parliament have our right to tax
