A murder scene?! I must call the police about this nonsense!
Track where the assassin is now! I need to know!
Mrs. Stevenson was home alone, and was very irritated because she couldn't reach her husband through the phone. She also couldn't leave her bed due to her being very ill. (she could move a little, not a lot)
PLEASE! Hurry up!
This part of the rising action consists of Mrs. Stevenson calling her husband that is "working" a late shift at their office, but she overhears her husband and the assassin planning out a murder plan.
This second rising action scene consists of Mrs. Stevenson telling the operator what she heard, but they couldn't help her. Therefore, she called the police, but they could not track the phone call because the call had to keep going.
When Mrs. Stevenson keeps talking to Sergeant Duffy while going bizarre and figuring out that she's the one who is getting murdered. However, she hears the footsteps of the assassin going up the stairs, and straight to her room.
Mrs. Stevenson dials the police for one last time to tell them that George, the assassin, is in the house and that he's going to murder her. She kept freaking out since George kept coming closer to the room where Mrs. Stevenson was.
Before the police made the call(approximately 3 seconds), Mrs. Stevenson was stabbed by George with a knife. When the police successfully answered, George replied, "Sorry, Wrong Number", and hung up.
