Storyboard Text

  • Hey, guys!! Do you want to visit the blue water planet we found 225 million years ago?
  • I remember there was one big piece of land surrounded by tons of water.
  • That planet was amazing!! Let's go!
  • I can't feel my face!!
  • Traveling at lightspeed is so awesome!!
  • This is way too fast!!
  • Thanks, guys!  I really needed to make a pit stop.  I'm so glad this water planet has a moon.
  • That is the planet we're going to.  See all the blue water!
  • I followed my navigation system.
  • Umm, are you sure?  It looks different. Very different.
  • I wonder why it looks so different now?
  • I just searched my databank. I think I know what caused it to change.
  • I don't know.  Do you have any ideas, Robot?
  • This planet changed because of plate tectonics.  A scientist named Alfred Wegener had a theory that all the continents were once on large mass of land he called Pangaea.
  • That must be why the continents look like giant pieces of a puzzle from space.
  • Continental drift made Earth look like it does now.
  • I met a human named Brian that said this planet is call Earth.  Can I keep him?
  • Scientists studied soil and matched plants, fossils, and rock on lands very far away from each other, across oceans, as a matter of fact.
  • This planet is so amazing and beautiful!!  Can we stay?  His mom won't let him come with us.
  • Do you think plate tectonics is the reason this planet has lots of mountains, volcanoes, and trenches?
