Storyboard Text

  • After the war was over, all the countries involved met in Versailles to discuss what happens after the war.
  • All the European countries wanted Germany to take full responsibility for causing the Great War by signin a War Guilt clause and reparations. Winners were considered France, Britain, USA, and Italy.
  • Woodrow Wilson wanted to use the fourteen points to not create long lasting tension and create and maintain world peace
  • However, Congress didn't think that would work in Europe because they were ready to make Germany pay for everything no matter what.
  • So all the allied forces came together and made Germany pay reparations, made them sign a war guilt clause. Only thing from the fourteen points that was allowed was the forming of the league of nations
  • Treaty of Versailles was signed on 28th of June 1919, Wilson got his League of Nations, and Germany took all the blame.
