Erica was enjoying her day in her room reading her book. Until her sister, Megan came in. "What book are you reading?" Megan asks. "Remembrance of things past," Erica replies "Oh I read that a year ago, that's easy," says Megan as she leaves the room. Just as Megan leaves Erica hears a noise coming from the living room.
Erica emerged from her room, she approached her mother lying on the couch, her face was pale green, it looked as if she was lifeless. Erica touches her face, it was ice cold.Like it had just came out of the freezer. Her eyes water up, as she rests her head on the sofa.
After my mother's funeral, I sat next to the grave and cried all night. All I think about is how young I am. I couldn't imagine what Megan felt. I wipe my tears from my cheeks when I hear my father state, "Erica will you please hurry up the football game is going to start." I look at him in disbelief, I know it's not worth a fight so pick myself up. At least we get to move into our new house. I thought.
My father led me and Megan up to our new home. The windows were demolished, leaving a dark shadowy inside larking. "Well I'll be back later." my father states as he leaves the lot and speeds off. I grabbed Megan's hand as I bolt away from the shady house.
Megan and I settled in a abandon shed, I couldn't make enough money, so I quit my job to focus better at school. Megan began to become more depressed. I was glad I got out of that mess when I did. Now everything I did was for Megan. I wanted both of us to become successful.
School became a hassle, I started falling behind. All I wanted was for Megan to be happy. I would like that, however, I am in high school, there is no room to mess up. I dream of going to college one day, at a top college. I knew there was only one way out, to cheat. I must achieve an A this exam, I thought. That morning I lived up to my word.
