La Bamba By Gary Soto
Manuel wants to sing the song La Bamba for the school talent show. He is excited for the talent show but then wonders why he raised hand when the teacher asked who. Then he realizes he wanted the limelight
While Manuel is waiting he spins his record on his finger. The karate kid just got done and his friend is going to play trumpet next. He continues to spin the record and when the trumpet is played, it's so loud that he trops the record.
Manuel now has to sing ¨Para bailar la bamba¨ over and over again. Then the audience stands up clapping and Manuel is confused why. After the show people kept telling him it was hilarious and he did not know why until the school newspaper asked him how he got it stuck on that part.
