Storyboard Text

  • "The Cask of Amontillado": by    Edgar Allen Poe
  • I learned that Fortunato has spoken against my family name. I won't face this torment any longer. I will take revenge
  • I must be careful so that no one knows, so I won't speak a word about it.
  • Setting: It's based in the past, between two men named Montresor and Fortunato.
  • Fortunato likes only the finest wines. I should get some for him!
  • Montresor had been judged by Fortunato for a while, and was eventually pushed over the edge when his family name was judged.
  • Montresor! Good evening, my friend.
  • Fortunato! How are you?
  • He wanted to make sure no one knew of his revenge, so he didn't tell anyone about it. He also made sure no one was in the house when he did it.
  • Why didn't you say so? Let's go see what it is!
  • Let's head down to my vault to come try it.
  • My plan is working perfectly!
  • He knew that Fortunato loved fine wine, so he made sure to get some to coerse him into going with him.
  • Montresor talked with Fortunato about some wine he had, which could be a very good wine.
  • Fortunato, my friend! I was just thinking about you, because I have came across what I think is an Amontillado wine.
  • Montresor wants Fortunato to look and see if this wine is the right kind, and Fortunato agrees to go with him.
