  • The French & Indian War
  •  The Proclamation of 1763
  • The Quartering Act
  • During the late 1600s, France, Britain, and Spain fought often for more territory in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. In 1754, a peace treaty gave Britain contol in Canida, but it left Britain with unpayed debts.
  • The Stamp Act
  • Natives were afraid that the settlers would destroy their way of life so they tried to drive them away bt attacking their forts and houses. By 1763, nearly 2,000 people died because of the fighting so they passed a law that the Natives have all the west land.
  • 
  • Britain left some soilder in the colonies to protect them but Britain still had debts to pay and they beleaved that the colonists should pay for the war so colonists had to give quarters or places to live along with food, fuel, candles, and transportation. colonists didn't like this and treated the soilders badly.
  • 
  • In 1765, colonists had to pay taxes on paper that had a bid blue stamp. People were furious becaus eof the taxes and they had no say in the matter.
