Storyboard Text

  • The car is on flames and they announce them dead. Grace's parents are now gone and she is left on her own. She looks across the scene and is terrified of the smoke flames and her parents lying lifeless on a stretcher. She cant take it and she decides to run.
  • After the depressing event of her parents passing Grace runs home. As she walks in she sees the house she has loved since was a child and she cant leave. She decides to be brave and live on her own even though danger is highly possible she can't leave the last memory she has of her parents.
  • Grace spends many days on the dangerous streets of Brooklyn New York searching for food. Grace comes home one night exhausted and in fear. She settles in and hides under the covers after a long night. All of a sudden a bunch of stray dogs come in vicouse and hungry. Grace uses every ounce of bravery and fights the dogs out of her home.
  • Grace uses the scraps she found to make a decent meal. when she hears footsteps in the her room upstairs. She rushes up and sees a robber armed. She runs through the house trying to get away from him and any way that will make him leave for good. She finally finds a baseball bat and hits the man across the head he then ran away to look for a new victim.
  • Tired and more frightened than ever Grace begins to pack her bags. With reluctance Grace packs clothing food and memories of her mother and father. She walks out the door with memories of her parents in her hands. She looks back at the home she has known forever and bolts leaving and forgetting past memories as she ran in tears.
  • After many hours of walking, being lost,afraid,and hungry Grace sees hope. In the distance a bright building stops her. Bold words read "Orphanage" across the bright blue siding. Children her age peak through the windows and play on the lawn. She cries one last tear and walks toward the front door. A women greets her and leads her through the home.
