The eye was always closed. this made it impossible for me to do what I needed to do.

the Rising action explains that the narrator went into the old mans room for 7 nights, But the old man eye was always closed. The narrator couldn't kill the old man when his eye was closed because It was not the old man that annoyed him. It was the old mans eye
The Falling action explains that after the narrator killed the old man he hid the body under the floor board. He placed the planks back so carefully that no one would noised there where moved.
The Resolution explains that the narrator Offered the police to stay and chat for a while. During the chat though the narrator starred to here the old mans heart beat indicating that he felt guilty for what he has done. The heart beat makes him go crazy and he start to go on a rampage. In the end he ended up confessing to the crime.
