Today we will learn about H202!
H202 is made from 2 Oxygen atoms and 2 Hyrogen atoms
H202 happens because oxygen needs a few more electrons to have a complete valance shell, so oxygen uses hydrogen to fill the shell. Then two of these molecules come together to make h202
This happens because oxygen has 6 electrons and uses 2 hydrogen electrons to fill its valance shell. Then another oxygen atom wants a full valance shell & shares electrons with the other oxygen atom.
Does anyone why oxygen wants two hydrogens? Hannah?
Because hydrogen has one electron each, and oxygen has 6 so 1+1+6= 8 what is the first energy level. Then the other oxygen shares!
Exellent! Well, that warms up todays lesson! Good job guys!
