Storyboard Text

  • On this sunny day in San Francisco Bay Mr. Seal and Mr. Turtle are sitting at the beach enjoying the sun.
  • Mr. Turtle this is my rock - I was here first so I'm not leaving.
  • Mr. Turtle walks over to Mr. Seal and demands for him to leave the rock.
  • Mr. Seal I need you to leave this rock right now. It is the only rock in San Francisco Bay where my shell fits perfectly.
  • Mr. Turtle whenever it is sunny I sit on this rock - this rock has been mine for 10 years!
  • Mr. Turtle tries to explain nicely to Mr. Seal why he wants to sit on the rock.
  • Please leave Mr. Seal this is the only rock that compliments my shell. Look at how the light gleams off of it!
  • Mr. Seal demonstrates active listening by trying to understand Mr. Seal's point of view.
  • I understand what you are saying - I will consider it.
  • Mr. Seal I think it would be nice if I had a turn for a little bit and then we switch off and on. This rock is the best for me because it compliments my shell and doesn't harm it.
  • That could work! I'll move over to the other rock for a little while and we can take turns!
  • Mr. Turtle tries to compromise with Mr. Seal.
  • What if we compromised by taking turns so we each have some time on the rock?
  • Mr. Seal and Mr. Turtle compromised and are both happy now.
  • Thanks Mr. Seal!
  • No problem. This rock actually isn't so bad!
