Well Bob you’re quite lucky, the DRE showed no abnormal growths in your prostate.
Hold on Bob we’re not out of the woods yet. I’m going to give you some tips on how to avoid prostate cancer and why you should be extra vigilant.
Oh man doc that sounds awful doc, how can I prevent myself from getting prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer can hereditary Bob, that’s how your father got it and it’s also likely that’s how his father got it. Now prostate cancer isn’t just exclusively hereditary, it can be caused by a poor diet and obesity.
I was getting to that.
Well bob what you can do to help yourself are the following: eat healthy, exercise, and take vitamins. Another thing you can do is to go get an annual prostate exam. You should get one ASAP if you have any of these symptoms: Trouble urinating, discomfort in you pelvic region, blood in your semen, or bone pain.
Ok but doc what should I do if I still get prostate cancer
Well lemme tell you what we can do about it.
Well Bob prostate cancer is fairly common as of this year there have been 191,930 new cases of prostate cancer in the U.S. Thankfully with all these cases comes a lot of treatment forms. Well thank you for coming in Bob and having this discussion with me
That was a lot of information to process. I hope that I don’t end up like my father or his father. I’m at least a bit more knowledgeable than them now
