Excuse me, but I'm lost. Can I have some directions?
In this scene, Drew starts to cut away all of the wheat in the field. This happened after Drew had to cut his family's wheat patch. He was mad and upset and crazy about the death of his family, so he started to cut all of the wheat in the field. It didn't matter if the wheat was ripe or not, he cut it anyway.
In this scene we see a bomb going off in a city. When Drew started to chop all the wheat it caused many disastrous events to happen in many places, such as a bomb going off. These events were more specifically caused by the amount of peoples lives he was cutting away.
In this scene, a man pulls up at the farm and asks Drew for directions. The is when the book says that once in a while people would pull in a car to the farm and ask for directions. However, Drew would be too busy cutting the wheat to help them.
