Sergeant Major Morris tells the whites about the Monkey's Paw. Triumphant, proud music plays as he tells his stories of being a soldier in India.
Sergeant Major Morris throws the Monkey's Paw into the fire so Mr. White can't use it. The music turns tense as Mr. White is angered that Sergeant Major Morris tried to destroy the paw before he could use it.
Mr. White takes the Monkey's Paw out of the fire.
Sergeant Major Morris leaves the White's house.
Herbert tells his dad nothing bad could happen if he wished for two-hundred pounds and Mrs. White does not approve. The music turns eerie as Mr. White uses the paw despite the warning he has been given.
Nothing appears to happen...
