The time for the championship had come. The two teams have just arrived at the arena. This game would decide who the best team in the country would be. They are lined up for the singing of the National Anthem.
The Pistons were heavily favored to win this game because they were ranked number one in the country while the Spartans were not ranked in the top 25, but they were pulling off a long run in the tournament. It would be a miracle if the pulled off a win in the championship game.
It is finally time for the game to begin. The two teams line up for the tip-off. The ref blew his whistle and tossed the ball up into the air. The Pistons won the tip and they immediately went into action.
The Pistons went into their famous play that they called the Triangle. Their point guard took the ball up the court and immediately looked for his favorite target under the basket. He passed the ball to him and the center dunked the ball hard.
Over the next 3 quarters the game remained very close. At this point in the game, there was only 10 seconds left on the clock and the Pistons were up by 2. The Spartans in bounded the ball and they called a timeout. Their coach wanted to talk to them about what they would do.
The Spartans got out on the court ready to run the play they had discussed. They in bounded the ball and gave the ball to the point guard who passed it to the small forward standing on the three point line. He shot the ball and they won the game.
