My parents grew up and raised as democrats, my mom was on the Board of Education in Tolland, of course, as a Democrat. So their political viewpoints were very strong, especially during the 2016 election.
Donald Trump will never win the election, Americans are smarter than that!
My father was pretty harsh, maybe a little too much. Either way, I had a strong belief that Donald Trump wouldn't be the President of the U.S. I figured it was nearly impossible.
How can anyone be so idiotic!! He's a wealthy, racist, sexist scumbag!
Overall, the whole situation was a huge mess. He would say the most ridiculous things, he probably didn't even mean it.
"I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will have Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words."
All the talk around our middle school was the annual D.C. trip. We would go to plays, monuments, museums and restaurants. But this year it was different. We were going election week.
Remember to pack over the weekend! We leave for Washington D.C. Monday at 5:30 am sharp!!
I was at TMS at 5:30 am sharp. Over the weekend my parents caught me up and reminded me what to do in several cases of danger. But I knew I would be fine.
Bye Dad! Bye Mom! I love you!
I roomed with three of my very good friends, Emma, Shanley, and Natalie. I wasn't really focused on their political viewpoints until, we went to that street vendor that was selling a bunch of Trump merchandise. (End of Part 1)
