Storyboard Text

  • Tradition
  • Foreshadowing
  • Mood
  • In the story they have many traditions. In the story they have a tradition that the put a slip of paper in a black box for everyone in the town. Everyone has to pull a paper to see who gets the dot.
  • In the story the boys are running around get rocks and stones. In the text it says, " Bobby Martin had already stuffed his pockets full of stones, and the other boys soon followed his example, selecting the smoothest and roundest stones;" That shows me that in the story at some point the y are going to be using rocks for something.
  • In the begging of the story the mood was very happy and cheerful. In the story it says, "The morning of June 27th was clear and sunny, with the fresh warmth of a full-summer day; the flowers were blossoming profusely and the grass was richly green." That shows me that the mood was very airy. You would think that everything and everyone would be happy and cheerful.
