Even when Odysseus gets home, only more conflicts await him at his home, Ithaca.
After the long Trojan War, King Odysseus of Ithaca has left Troy after being victorious.
Our setting begins on Mount Olympus, with a meeting between the Gods and Goddesses. They are all trying to decide Odysseus' fate.
But, he doesn't know about the obstacles that await him. The journey home will be just as tough as winning the war.
"Well, I believe that Odysseus should be punished for his actions!"
"Oh Zeus, why not leave the man alone. He is a master of war and has been stuck at sea for a long time."
As Athena refuses to argue with her father anymore, she goes down to Ithaca and transforms into Mentes, a family friend of Odysseus. Her goal is to talk to Telemachus, the son of Odysseus.
But, while she walks around the castle, she sees that the castle of Odysseus has been taken over by suitors and sees this as a huge issue.
"Greetings, stranger! But, tell me now, who are you? Where do you come from?"
"I am Mentes and I come from Taphos. But, I have been very good friends with your family and have heard news about your father, Telemachus.
"Telemachus, you truly need Odysseus! At daybreak, call the islanders to assembly and speak your will. Talk with the sage, Nestor at Pylos, then visit Menelaus, the king of Sparta. There, you will learn about your father."
Should I go on this journey to find out about my father?
