Storyboard Text

  • Usually there was a horn that would be used to know that the people you were trading with were leaving
  • After one side of the trade was done collecting their goods, the other side would go and collect their goods aswell
  • By using the silent trade, people avioded unwanted conflicts.
  • The location of the trade was only known to the people trading, they didn't want others to know where the trade was going on
  • Once the trade was over, both sides determined if they wanted to keep this trade going, or if they wanted to never trade with them again
  • Two advantages are that it allowed people who didn't speak the same language to trade and that the wangarans had better protection of their gold mines because of all the trade that was happening
