  • Civil War
  • U.S.S.R.
  • Lenin's Death
  • R.I.P.
  • In November 1917 Lenin overthrows the provisional government which starts the Bolshevik Revolution. During the revolution Lenin immediately distributes all land to all peasants, gives control of factories to workers, and withdraws from WW1.
  • Stalin's Rule
  • Lenin begins the New Economic Plan in which the government still controls major industries, banks, and communication. Lenin also begins to organize Russia into the U.S.S.R. Lenin and the communists create a new constitution and the communist party is to hold all power. Lenin unfortunatly creates a dictatorship of the Communist Party within Russia.
  • The Great Purge
  • In the year 1924 Lenin tracically dies of a stroke which then leads Stalin and Trotsky in apower struggle to see who will be the next command in charge of the USSR and the Communist party.
  • Collective Farms
  • Finally in the year 1928 Stalin becomes in charge and is a complete dictator. While in control of Russia Stalin used methods of totalitarianism in which he had complete cenorship within all the citizens of Russia. Stalin was in complete control over the media, books, as well as eliminated citizens freedom of speech.
  • Stalin was very protctive over his power and would seize anyone who he felt would put his leadership in jeopardy. In 1936 Stalin had all religious people, intelligenceia, bolsheviks, as well as military leaders killed to prevent power being striped away from him. Stalin used proaganda and indoctrination to help the gov't control schools, in otherwords he would 'brainwash' all citizens of Russia into only believing what he thought was right.
  • Stalin as well helped create collective farms. In these farms, farmers were forced to give up their land or else they were sent to work camps called, gulags. This event often led to many angry citizens as well as innocent lives being killed everyday. Stalin eventuallly passed in 1953 which had many of the Russian citizens devistated due to seeing Stalin as a superior leader.
