Storyboard Text

  • Supply and Demand By: Hannah Burns and Tom Bolt
  • My, am I parched. How much is a bottle of water?
  • A man named Harold walks into his local store in hopes of quenching his thirst.
  • Due to the recent hurricane warnings, the water is up to $10.
  • Harold is flabbergasted to learn the price of water. He has purchased water at this store before and knows he usually only needs around $3.
  • Sorry man. The demand for water is so high due to the hurricane that the supply is decreasing. This causes the price of water to increase.
  • That makes sense. Economics at its finest! I will go home and get some more money.
  • Harold trudges back to his apartment in hopes of finding cheaper water.
