We just want to understand what happened in detention.
Someone has been posting from Simon’s app, and it’s mostly about you guys.
Bronwyn, Nate, Cooper, Addy and Simon are all in detention when Simon drinks water with peanut oil. He is severely allergic, and is taken to the hospital where he later dies from the reaction to the oil.
How would you feel if this information was posted on About That? Did you want to keep it a secret?
All four kids are called into the principle’s office to talk with a police officer. The kids explain that someone planted phones in their backpacks to get them in trouble with a teacher to get them into detention. The police officer questions them about a possible motive with Simon’s drama app, but one one seems to have one.
The Tv Cameras
At Simon’s memorial, Cooper talks to a classmate, Leah. She never liked Simon, and she tells Cooper that someone has been posting more drama and gossip from Simon’s app, and most of it is about the four who were in detention when he died.
After Simon’s memorial, all four kids are taken to the police station for an interrogation. The police interrogate them separately, but everyone is shown an unpublished post for Simon’s app, About That. In the post, rumors are spread that Addy cheated on her boyfriend, Bronwyn cheated all throughout chemistry, Cooper took steroids, and Nate is dealing drugs at school.
How did he get that?
After school one day, a news channel has trucks and cameras outside and are interviewing students. Cooper and Addy get caught up in all the cameras and end up on the news. Bronwyn and Nate sneak out the back of school and avoid being on the news.
Wait! Can we get an interview?
All of the kids have gotten a lot of hate since the story was on the news. Bronwyn has gotten racial slurs thrown at her family, Addy has lost her friends and boyfriend and ended up cutting her hair, Cooper broke up with his girlfriend due to stress of getting framed, and Nate hasn’t really been affected, but he has gotten closer with Bronwyn.
