Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • I ain't got nothin', George. Honest.
  • Conflict
  • S'pose he don't want to talk?
  • Let the big guy talk!
  • Rising Action
  • Make 'um stop, George.
  • Get 'im, Lennie!
  • The story begins in a little spot beside the Salinas River. George and Lennie are camping there for the night. They're going to head to their new jobs when they wake up the next morning.
  • Climax
  • As soon as they get there, they meet the boss and the boss' son, Curley. Curley doesn't like them very much, mostly Lennie. He, Lennie, and Curley's wife have a lot of trouble getting along.
  • Falling Action
  • Well, he's sick of you!
  • You do bad things!
  • Because Lennie and Curley don't get along very well, Curley attacked Lennie for no reason and Lennie crushed his hand.
  • Resoloution
  • Sure, right now. I gotta. We gotta.
  • George always had told Lennie to stay away from Curley's wife because he thought she was trouble, but one day she caught him off guard. She got him to touch her soft hair. In fear of him messing it up, she squirmed and then Lennie snapped her neck.
  • Feel right aroun' there an' see how soft it is.
  • Lennie did as George told him too, and went to their spot. There he had visions that the rabbit he wanted to tend. He also "talked" with his late Aunt Clara.
  • In the end, George found Lennie, who knew he had done wrong. George then shot Lennie because he knew that was what he had to do.
