  • Act VI Scene I
  • Your brother too must die. Consent you, Lepidus? (Octavius, 2)
  • I do consent(Lepidus, 3a)
  • These many, then, shall die; their names are pricked (Antony,1)
  • Because Publius was also involved in Caesar's demise Antony is required to kill his own nephew.
  • Upon condition Publius shall not live. (Lepidus,4)
  • He shall not live. With a spot I damn him. (Antony, 6-7)
  • In secret Antony and Octavius discuss how they will come to rule together but then ultimately kick Lepidus out of power.
  • Then we take down his load, and turn him off. (Antony 27)

  • Act VI Scene II
  • Civil war breaks out and Brutus and Cassius fights against Antony and Octavius.

  • Cassius and Brutus argue about battle plans before a poet comes in to try to calm them down, afterwards over wine Brutus tells Cassius of Portia's death
  • What Portia!(Cassius, 200)
  • No man bears sorrow better. Portia is dead. (Brutus, 199)
  • The ghost of Cesar appears acting like Brutus' evil spirit. After waking the other soldiers who see nothing Brutus orders the march on Philippi first.
