  • Women of the third estate marched to versailles to demand the king and queen for bread. They also demanded for their rights and the royalty to leave versailles.
  • We want bread!
  • Bread! Bread! Bread!
  •  Leave versailles!
  • We need to escape from here before they kill us!
  • The king and queen escaped from the versailles, never to return.
  • Oh no! I love this castle!
  • The Committee of Public Safety is formed in order to kill all enemies of revolution. This is the start of the Reign of Terror where thousands of people were executed by the guillotine.
  • All enemies will die!
  • Ya! they deserve that!
  • Please don't kill me! I didnt do anything wrong!
  • Maximilian Robespierre was the leader of Committee of Public Safety and had the power to kill anyone, even if they helped start the revolution. Citizens rights to a fair trial were abolished. Also, suspects were tried in the morning and executed in the afternoon.
  • Guilty! Your punishment is death!
  • I still don't know what I did wrong!
  • The guillotine was used to execute about 17,000 people during The Reign of Terror. This method of execution, cutting off the persons head very quickly, was considered the most human death while was easy and fast.
  • King Louis, Marie Antoinette, members of clergy, nobles, and peasants were all executed by the guillotine. Even though the revolution was for the third estate, more citizens from the third estate were killed compared to the other estates.
