This is the story of the murder of Thomas Becket and his relationship with the king.

He got rid of his fancy clothes and started to dress more religiously
Thomas Becket,the king's chancellor, was very well trusted by the King.Henry II was very secretive and only revealed important plans to Becket
The royal court must be more important than the church!
But,my lord,God is above us all.We cannot ignore this fact
When the Archbishop died the king was on a look out for a new Archbishop that he could trust as an Archbishop had a lot of power.

When Thomas Becket was made the new Archbishop many people disagreed.Becket decided to change himself completely and to evote his life to God in order to fill his new role.
Henry wanted the Royal Court to have more power than the Church but Becket disagreed.Finally,Becket gave in and admitted to the king that the Royal court is higher.
Becket double-crossed the king and stopped doing his job!Once the king had heard about this he became furious!
Even though the King and Becket had made up it was not very clear to everyone.One night, some drunk knights decided to finish off the argument once and for all.They Brutally murdered him and ran off.
