- Hello, my name is John! I am a woodcutter. Let me show you how paper is made!
- Cutting trees is hard work! But it's good fun.
- This is what my truck looks like. I bring the logs that I chop down to a paper factory!
- All I have to do is press this button and the logs are peeled and chopped!
- The pieces of wood on the conveyor belt will be boiled in some chemicals and water.
- This wood is now a pulp. This mushy pulp is squeezed through a wire mesh.
- The pulp is then squeezed through felt covered rollers which soaks up all the water and hot rollers dry it!
- Then out of the machine comes paper, ready for printing!
- My poor neighbour got flooded with junk mail once! Junk mail is made from paper, that has been printed on by companies and advertisers, and covered in plastic.
