Storyboard Text

• Friction
• In this picture friction is being used because there is action towards an object
• Yeah thank you
•
• Do you need help moving your box?
• No problem
• Types of Friction
• In this picture there is a guy pushing down a tree a girl flying a kite a guy kicking a ball and a girl sliding down while sleeping these are examples of friction
• Gravity
• Friction is the action of one surface or object rubbing against another.
• Gravity and Motion
• Static friction is friction that acts on objects that are not moving, sliding friction occurs when two solid surfaces slide over each other, rolling friction is when an object rolls across a surface, and fluid friction (water, oil, air) occurs when a solid object through s fluid
• Elastic Forces
• The apple falls towards the ground because gravity pulls the apple
• Gravity is a force that pulls objects towards each other
•
• Free fall: when the only force acting on an object is gravity the object is said to be in free fall Motion: when an object moves Air resistance:type of fluid friction that acts on objects falling through air
• In this picture the ball is going up and down gravity and air resistance are the two forces for those motions
• Tension: an elastic force that stretches or pulls matter. In this case the rope is being stretched between these two girls
• There is tension going on between the two girls pulling the rope
