The difference in this is that usually, to help with unusual behaviors, you're prescribed medications, you go to a psychologist, or maybe even sometimes, you have to get an operation done on you, but for Temple, animals were her prescription. Animals helped her through her behaviors. This is important because Temple didn't have to go through very many things that were unnecessary, and she found her solution pretty fast.
