In the early 20th century, Britain had control over Kenya. They created new discriminatory laws that gave European settlers special privileges.
The settlers got access to the land first, and began to claim much of Kenya's farmland as their own.
This land is the property of Great Britain.
White children received a better education, and the government gave white schools large amounts of funding.
These same laws made life much more difficult for the native Kenyans. They were also denied government positions to protect their own freedoms.
