- Edward was an empresario and he moved to Texas with Stephen F. Austin.

- When he arrived, Edward found that some Mexican families, Anglo settlers, and Cherokee that had lived on the land .

- The settlers complained to the Mexican government, and the Mexican government agreed with them. So in October 1826 the Mexican government kick Edward out and replaced him with Edward's son
- A group of Edwards’s supporters took action. They arrested the new leader ( aka Edward's son).
- tM the Fredonian Rebellion.A lot of Tejanos and Anglo settlers both did not the Fredonian Rebellion. Stephen F. Austin gathered troops to fight Edward. so in January 1827, that was the first event leading to the Tx Revolution.
