  • Plymouth was along the shore, so this settlement was good for fishing. However, the soil is extremely rocky, so farming is difficult in this area

  • Plymouth had town meetings frequently. They had them to help keep the settlement under control
  • Plymouth vs Jamestown
  • The majority of our money is made from fishing and small farms, the position of Plymouth allows them to catch and sell fish.
  • Plymouth was different from Jamestown because Plymouth used fishing and whaling as economic sources because they had rocky soil, but Jamestown grew and sold tobacco. Also, Jamestown only had men there, but Plymouth had men and their families.
