Storyboard Text
- In the village, people are getting ready to do a lottery. The children began collecting rocks and putting it in a pile, while the adults are getting the table and black box ready.
- Bank
- After everything was set up they begun the lottery. Mr. Summers started to call out names to see if everyone was here.
- All right is everyone here?Its time for the lottery!!
- Bank
- After when Mr. Summers called out to people for attendance, he then called up people to come get there ticket. Mr. Summers called on Bill Hutchinson to come up and get his ticket.
- Bill Hutchinson! Come get your ticket and please open it!
- Bank
- When everyone got their ticket, Mr.Summers told everyone to open their tickets. Bill Hutchinson opened his ticket, and was surprised to find that he had won. Now Bill's family had to draw only to see which family member would win.
- That's not fair! You didn't let him take his time and pick a ticket!
- Bank
- Shut up Tessie!
- You Won!
- The Hutchinsons opened each of their slips of paper. Bill, Nancy, and little Dave had blank papers. But for Tessie's slip of paper, it had a little black dot.
- This isn't right! This isn't fair!
- Bank
- No this isn't fair...
- Tessie started to get mad when she saw her slip of paper. Having the slip of paper that had a black dot on it meant that all the villagers had to throw rocks at you until you die. Everyone threw rocks at Tessie, one rock hit her head and she died.
- Bank
- Come on everyone! Lets throw rocks at Tessie!
