  • Hey Steve What is Cobalt?
  • Well Cobalt was Discovered in 1730 and the one who founded this metal was George Brandt. 
  • Cobalt is a chemical element and its atomic number is 27 and the symbol of it is Co and in the metal group. That means it has 27 protons.
  • So that's who discovered but what kind of metal is it and were is it the periodic table?
  • What is Cobalt used for?
  • It is used to create magnetic steel and stainless steel.  It also can treat some forms of cancer.
  • But what does cobalt look like? Also whats its original name?
  • It looks like a sliver and grey tinted metal and it turns blue when combined with metals. The original name is kobald or kobalt and its name comes from Germany.
  • Is Cobalt dangerous or is it good ? 
  • Well it can be good for treating anemia and has vitamin B12 but it can be dangerous when some one breaths to much of it and  it can cause vision problems and heart problems.

  • It is found near the earths crust and it is also in meteors. It is mostly mined or found in Australia  and Russia.(more countries do this)
