There were twins named Romulus and Remus. They had a father named Mars, a mother named Shea Silvia, the king Numitor, and Numitors brother Amulius.
When the twins were born Numitors brother seized them, Amulius put the twins in a basket and threw them into the river. Amulius hoped that they would drown in the river, but however the twins got rescued by a she-wolf.
When the twins grew up they went for a walk and a shepherd Faustulus found them, he had no idea what they were doing out and about so he followed them home.
Later on Romulus and Remus found out who they really were and decided to kill there uncle for what he had done to them and then put there grandfather back on the throne.
After they had killed there uncle they decided to build a city of their own but they couldn’t agree where to build it. Remus wanted his at the Aventine Hill and Romulus wanted his at the Palatine Hill. They could not agree so the built a city of their own with enclosed walls.
One day Remus visited Romulus and made fun of his wall by jumping over it and saying how easy it could be breached, Romulus was very annoyed with Remus so Romulus killed Remus and Romulus became the first king of Rome in 753 B.C
