  • It is the principal means for providing US military aid to foreign nations during WWII
  • The US took part in  the Lend-Lease Act before Pearl Harbor
  • It was feared that Japanese Americans would serve as secret agents and help Japan invade America
  • The Japanese Americans were placed into internment camps and lost everything again after the Great Depression
  • Axis armies had driven deep into Soviet territory and millions of Soviet soldiers had been killed or captured. American, British, and Canadian troops invaded France on June 6th, 1944, known as D-Day.
  • The Pacific Fleet was so weak they had no control of Japan's advancements. Japan later then conquered Thailand, Burma, Hong Kong, Singapore, Guam, and Wake Island, all while America was recovering from Pearl Harbor.
  • The war in the Pacific took a turn after America dropped the atomic bomb on Japan. Later America came with a naval victory in the Battle of Midway. Soon after that Japan agreed to surrender due to American forces beginning to occupy Japan.
  • The long lasting impact Pearl Harbor left on America was the realization of how demstic unity was a result of the attack.
