  • Chapters 7-9
  • Victor reads out the letter from his father.
  • Ah! My brother William has been murdered.
  • I must leave at once.
  • Victor does not reach Geneva in time as he is now outside the gates at dark where he sees his creation once more.
  • I see you monster...wait, I know who murdered my brother.
  • To everyone, and even Victor's surprise Justine has been accused of the murder.
  • I can't say the monster I have created did it. People will think I'm crazy.
  • Justine Moritz has been found guilty and will be punished by death.
  • Justine has confessed to the murder while Elizabeth and Victor know of her innocence
  • Please do not cry over my death, I have come to terms with what will happen. Your belief in my innocence is enough.
  • Victor feels responsible for the death of an innocent girl and whilst on a trip to the lake he contemplates suicide.
  • I should end myself right here...but then my beloved sister and father will be burdened with more sadness.
