Before computers: Stories were past down through people and so was news.
The first computer, built in 1946, was powered by vacuum tubes (it took 18,000) and took up 15,000 sq. feet
2nd generation: These computers were powered by transistors. More powerful and smaller than earlier ones.
3rd generation: Powered by integrated circuits. Smaller and more powerful.
4th generation: These are the ones we use today. Powered off of microprocessers, they are the fastest and smallest computers
5th generation: Artifical intelligence. These are being made today but are not totally finsished. Allows computers to act alive
