I have to escape. I had to break a window and run since gangs were coming into my apartment building.
You guys have got to go to Mexico it is so much safer there.
Honey, stay away from those freaks they are dangerous.
I was sitting outside of my apartment out of breath, because I had just sprinted away from gang. I could still hear them so I was being quiet and still. I was sick of it here, I wanted to leave.
My mom told me and my partner to immigrate to Mexico to leave the violence it was no surprising news, because we are not allowed to walk down the road ourselves or else we could get jumped by the gangs. We will be escaping soon with the help of my moms money. I was sick of it here and Mexico will be a safer, more modern, wealthier place with better education.
We were judged by many of the people that walked by us. Multiple gangs approached us and extorted us on our journey, we felt so worthless but we were used to this.
Oh no you got deported, I will give you some more money.
The boat was crowded with strangers of all types. We were so far and so close to freedom!! We just had to take a van after this boat ride and then we would be safe and ready! Or so we had thought.
When we got to Palenque we were so close. But then we noticed we didn't have enough money, we kept going just in case they didn't care. But they did care, we got sent back to Honduras, but we won't give up we will try and try over and over.
When i came back my mom was very surprised why I was back. I told her we were deported back and then she gave us more money we said bye and got ready for our 2nd journey.
