  • Bolshevic Revolution- A violent revolution after people are sick of dying and fighting and giving to the frontline during WWI.
  • United States
  • Woodrow Wilson talks very idealistic about the League of Nations about Self-Determination. This area will experience that-- having the ability and right to have a government by the people for the people.
  • Latin America
  • 
  • Scandinavia 
  • FDR's New Deal-- The Great Depression was an economic problem in the United States that was largely ended by WWII and FDR's New Deal which aimed to stabilize the economy and bring back jobs through social programs that aided Americans. It also encouraged other social safety nets to help Americans win back higher wages and economic stability and grew the US gov't tremendously. Also had a focus on infrastructure.
  • In Latin America, many countries turned towards communism and dictatorships. Additionally, countries turned to Import Substitution Industrialization which meant that many countries were attempting to rely less on the outside world.
  • In Scandinavian countries, Democratic Socialism appears bringing with it higher government regulation of the market and far more social welfare programs and government involvement. However, it is conducted peacefully and through democratic processes (voting).
