This image I created represents a perfect exterior because if you look closely, you will be able to see that all the characters are smiling. This is like in the book how all the charcters where preconditioned to always be happy and to take soma whenever they feel distressed. This is their perefect society where everyone looks beautiful forever and will always have a new temporary partner.
no free will
The image I created represents the scene in chapter 17 where everyone comes to see the savage; John, because they want to see him whip himself again. This is an example of government corruption because it proves that everyone is so condiioned to be happy all the time that they don't know how to behave when others display real raw emotions.
There is many examples of no free will throughout the entire book, but the scene I chose to recreate is where the children are out and having erotic play, but there is one child who refuses to be a part of it and is sent away to be "fixed."
I don't want to have erotic play!!!
An obvious example of sameness is how everybody has been conditioned to think the same way and to be dependant on Soma. The scene I created is in Chapter 15 when the Scientist is handing out the Soma (Right before Bernal snatched the pills and threw them.
