Muhammad was born in Mecca in 570 C.E. Following tradition, his mother sent him to live with a family of nomads in the desert.
The Night Journey
Muhammad goes to pray in a cave regularly, but one time the angel Gabriel comes and tells his to recite and that he is the messenger of God.
Journey to Madinah
Some people reject Muhammad's teachings because of some reasons including not wanting to share money, and not wanting to give up their Gods.
Muhammad's Death
A winged horse takes Muhammad to Jerusalem, the city in which early Muslims had directed their prayers.
Muhammad and his followers left Madina on a journey known as the hijrah. Madinah means "City of the Prophet"
In March 632, Muhammad led his final pilgrimage and reminded Muslims to treat each other well and to be faithful to their community. Shortly after his return to Madinah, Muhammad died.
